Chris Broussard is a Licensed Professional Counselor. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from Northwestern State University (1998) in Natchitoches, LA and his Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Montevallo (2002) in Montevallo, AL.
Chris was the co-director and group therapist for the second largest adult alcohol and drug outpatient program in Mississippi and as acting executive director of a Methadone Maintenance Treatment Program in Mobile, AL he was one of the youngest in his position in the United States. He also served on the Alabama Advisory Board to rewrite the State Standards for Methadone Maintenance Treatment Programs.
Chris has over 18 years of experiences working in diverse settings which include abstinence and non-abstinence substance abuse programs, helping people meet requirement for probation/parole, and working in a private practice. He also volunteered as a therapist for Katrina evacuees at the Daphne Civic Center in Daphne, AL. His area of concentration is in individual and group therapy with adolescents and adults suffering from substance abuse, addiction, anxiety, and depression.
Chris has two rescue dogs, a lab mix named Ledo and a beagle named Athena.
